My oh my, this song reminds me of all those nights on the town I never had. Yeah baby.

Potnyx is a great singer, but I fear for the world if Superlab does get into this gig of doing cover songs.

SuperLabMedia responds:

Hey, you're next!

Oh man, this was incredible

This already great song had been revised to be more epic, creative, and overall awesome. The improvised sections added an interesting touch. I also loved how the song never repeated itself. Though the beat stayed the same, the melody found time to change itself to keep the song interesting. And the result was just lovely.

Burn7 responds:

Thanks, I try to stay away from repetition as much as possible when doing remixes or covers that involve guitar. People tend to dislike it.

I'm glad you enjoyed it :)

The narration is pretty accurate.

You can almost pin point which point of this song when you're doing what. Like at 3:18 as you "venture past the Ozone layer". A nice way to use our imaginations. On top of that, it's this sort of music that is best listened to as you work. Like with flash, for example. Sure, it's fun to put on some awesome song that you might normally sing along too, but the ones that help you work are the lyric-less ones. Ones with perhaps just a melody. Or just a rhythm. Those songs do much less to distract you from work.

Now, that's not saying this isn't an awesome song. It's a unique...journey. This is the type of ambience you'd hear behind a voice that explains a new world. It's something you hear in movies.

The machine in my brain that comes up with good examples and metaphors is on the fritz. So let me conclude with, this totally roxed my sox as I was doing my homework. That's no metaphor.

FatKidWitAJetPak responds:

TECHNICALLY SIR, ROCKING SOCKS IS INDEED A METAPHOR. :P

Wow! Im really loving this review, its always enjyoable to hear what others imagine from the songs i make. Thanks for the details and everything, they mean a lot. You better ace that homework bub. and congrats on that awesome tablet of yours.

Harder this time around

The ones I couldn't get right were Earthworm Jim, Pokemon Gold, and Death Mountain. I recognized the Death Mountain theme from Brawl, but I thought it was in a game I hadn't played. And #10 isn't the Metroid theme, it's Kraid's theme. I recognized the Overworld Map from Super Mario world but I couldn't name it while it was playing so I don't know if it counts. I can't beleive I recognized the Bolero of Fire.

darphfluffy responds:

Ahh, Earthworm Jim...

Damnit

I got all the names right except for Kirby Super Star credits and Gloopy goop Swamp.

darphfluffy responds:

Good for you

Great

I've been playing Gold and Silver recently and this was definitely a good remix.

Yo-Shee responds:

That is good, keep playing.

And thanks.

Just got Megaman 2...

on Virtual Console and I'm at this level. How do you beat that dragon without falling? But this is definitely the best theme in that game and searched up this audio submission. Thank you for submitting this.

Flawlessempire responds:

use the Quick man ability. That kills the thing hella fast!

ok but

I really didn't like how it was arranged. Certain things could've sounded better if they were played with a different instrument. Maybe it's just a bit late for me to enjoy this type of peppy song. When I think of the main Zelda theme, I'd imagine it being played all badass with an electric guitar with plenty of distortion.

Lone-X responds:

Well everyone's imagination is different...but thanks for the input! For the record, I wanted to do a distortion guitar Zelda theme, but its been done...I mean its been done A LOT!

Nice

It does sound like something Yoshi would make. As for the mood changes, I guess you mean how the rhythm changes. Well they do symbolize the ups and downs. Nice work.

Catstuffer responds:

Hey thanks. I had made this song at first not based on yoshi at all... but then I realized it did sounds like yoshi lol!

I give 8

I love how you took the song in your own direction with the addition of more melodies/rhythms. But when I hear this song I love how the rhythm mix well with the basic melody. Adding more is fine, but the song is wonderful the way it is. At least make the original song louder than the add-ons so it sounds more like the Gerudo Theme.

brkzeld responds:

Alright thanks! I'll keep that in mind for future songs

You've come a long way. Here, have a cookie...your inventory seems to be full. Come back when you can carry more items, I'll hold onto this for you. *Munch* *Crunch*
